About Me

I grew up in Salinas, California, home of the great John Steinbeck. I loved going to the Steinbeck Library. I also loved going to my grandparents house. They lived on the beach, and had this great oak tree in their front yard that I could have sworn was a space ship.

Now I live on a mountain in Washington State where not too many other people live, but there are lots of birds, bears, bobcats, and cougars. And lots of cows. In the winter we get so much snow that we can ski right out the front door! My husband and I built our house. It was hard work. Now that it's finished, we live there with our three kids, one old dog, and a fiesty little cat.
